  • What does it taste like compared to the original?

I've got a cold tea that I might reheat.

    • Tea doesn't work in the microwave

      it makes it taste awful.
      Instant coffee is fine.

      • ^ this. Tea tastes ‘flat’ after it’s been in the microwave.

Instant coffee tastes shit before you put it in there, so it makes no difference.

    • I can see this turning into a pocketmouse thread

I dont tend to do it myself, but i normaly drink peppermint/green tea so if it gets cold i just stick some icecubes in and turn it into ice tea. Dont think that works too well with pg tips though.

          • Bleurgh

Black tea is only suitable as some form of flagellation

            • did this once when the kettle wasn't working at school

used warm water for coffee then proceeded to heat in the microwave. Possibly the most foul coffee ever to pass down my gullet.

            • I always have a dash of milk in normal tea

I've become hooked on Rooibos tea lately, so nice.

              *the tea got thrown away.

            • Never done it.

My mum does and my nana used to do it loads.

            • I prefer to pour it into a baking tray and put it in a preheated oven

              at 200c for fifteen minutes.

            • Only with milk really as that forms the layer on top.

You can get around this by pre-heating the spoon, I think. It doesn't explode anyway, it just boils over suddenly.
