it's been fun so far
he's really been flexing his intellectual muscle recently. watch out kids tv, charlie is going to swear at you
If Screenwipe was on Screenwipe. I'd like that.
"it is not good. it is not not bad. look at his stupid face. what a withered old cunt satchel. i wish i could strap him to a train track. fuck. shit. kick in the balls" and then extend it by 5 minutes
he does do jokes about himself, and his criticisms of other things have merit most of the time, and it's not all negative, and you seem to be watching a different programme.
It's that they're almost always painfully obvious, and if you have half a brain, will not doubt have already gone through your head if you've seen the programme in question.
this guy's descriptions are wonderful
I mean, probably slightly debased by it being on an advert a while back, but Count Five Or Six!
off to iPlayer again this week then hey
the junior christian thing was quite depressing but the postgate end was sweet. Such a mixture of emotions!
"we will fix it with glue-glue-glue"
Almost had a tear in my eye.
The thing about Brooker is, is that he acknowledges his awkwardness, but will make a genuine effort to do a good job. Result = laugh out loud comedy.
And he will sing the praises of (oftenm unlikely) stuff that deserves it. Fair enough.
Whereas he'll not hesitate to rip into the unashamed washed up pap that passes for telly these days. An all to rare commodity in our postpostmodern-post-ironic (or whatever) times.
the Screenwipe satan to Harry Hill's TVBurp Angel.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=87NHueHBHwY How the fuck did anyone think that was a good idea for a kids TV show.
I loved the Christian puppet show though. One of the greatest things I've seen.
Like the kid at school who would always have his hand up first, holding it as though it has a mind of its own.
