talk to me
I'm playing a gig tonight with a PUNK RAWK band in Hitchin. Should be fun, played with them last night and played a pretty manic set. Has anyone been to the Dirty Water Club before? They have the coolest backline ever, you can plug any old piece of shit into the bass amp and it'll sound good. Saturday I'm Christmas shopping then in the evening going to a friend's birthday meal and drinks. Sunday I'll be sleeping as I haven't done alot of it this week. What about yourself Mr Dizzle?
i've not been to hitchin before.
tonight it's my brother's 30th, and they're getting a big keg of locally brewed ale called 'salamander', so that should be beautiful.
and tomorrow my band mate and i are going on a road trip. driving through the lake district (stopping off at ambleside for a cheeky pint), then off up through carlisle to pick up our friend ben, then our friends bex and mark, and then we're off to this place called Haltwhistle, where we're off to a 2-day psy-trance rave in a castle.
it's going to be well good fun.
Psy-trance though? I'd rather eat my own scrotum.
but being out on the open road should be good. stick a good old bobby-d album on, go freeeeewheelin' past the lakes getting chonged.
ah i'm into a bit of psy. it's called kulu castle is the place i'm off to. you get a special 'christmas present' included in the price, as well as a bed, a buffet at dinner and breakfast, chill out rooms... can't wait.
tonight! Susan George Booth. Me and our drummer used to be in a band with the current singer of the bleach boys! I take it you're the sindys!
Tomorrow- ROTA with Cats In Paris and Johnny Foreigner and trying to find a nice restaurant I can book for Monday.
Sunday- Coffee with my Mum and waiting until Monday to get paid.
tonight: train to leeds
tomorrow lunchtime: boyfriends' dad's birthday lunch
tomorrow afternoon/evening: fun party time at trinity church
that getting facestamped while The Locust are playing is worth at least a hundred hardcore points.
i'm pretty excited.
i'm also going to Leeds on Saturday to help with JINGLE ALL THE DAYER. woo!
Tonight: work leaving drinks (not me), then something serious
Saturday: Lazing in bed reading 'Our band could be your life'
Sunday: Tea party, and (hopefully) the thermals
so drunken merrment will take place. i really need to avoid buying rockband2 this afternoon, so i might make a thread about why i shouldn't get it
i get paid again next week and last month had £300 overtime. :(
Friday: dunno. Will probably try and finish off the blog Christmas/New Year/year end stuff.
Saturday: thought I had sister's family thing to go to, but that's been moved to the new year (my birthday, in fact - I'll find a way out) Have got half a mind to pop down to RoTa, but I suspect the train and tube might be a bit busy. Given there's literally no other decent gigs on the local horizon I would go to the last Dirty Backbeats gig but I think it's sold out.
Sunday: lounge around.
It's a well known fact that we don't like each other, but are you coming to something serious tonight?
If you don't love it, then it's friendship annulled I'm afraid.
funniest film ever.
I've been out every night this week so I'm having a night in. Rock on.
I've got an invite to an all day 30th birthday party on Saturday pub crawl. Not sure if I can be arsed as it means using a lot of public transport to get there.
i need to 'do christmas' in my house pretty soon. all my brothers are away, so the duty pretty much falls on me. i need to be in the 'zone' though.
dunno about sunday. maybe seeing the pains of being pure at heart..
hit the sofa, tv, internet
Tomorrow- shopping :-(, maybe (hopefully) jingleallthedayer, probably some sort of indie club night.
Sunday- parents up (yay!), christmas market, pub, expensive paid-for meal in restaurant, hopefully then escaping for drinks with friends.
Should be a good one!
but I've narrowed it down to:
Tonight - Dinner with about 18 friends in Soho then going to Bangface for the first time when I'm dead excited about.
Saturday - Recovery / carry on drinking, X Factor, Club Motherfucker.
Sunday - Boyfriend's birthday - go for dinner / drinks.
if so, any good? FanfarLOL were lovely.
because I'm a massive loser and had a shit day at work :(
I'm sure your day at work wasn't that bad!
best day of the year. perhaps.
Tomorrow: Christmas shopping, birthday drinks
Sunday: cooking a roast for a friend, evening Paul Hawkins "Club Awkward's Damn Fucking Awkward Christmas Party"
Christmas shopping urgh. URGH.
Saturday: Christmas shopping/dying
Sunday: Maybe going to see Kong or going for a meal with housemates.
I've nearly lost my voice and I sound horribly husky/raspy
Tonight – work ‘till 4:30pm, then lounging around town before going to Bristol to watch the Hold Steady. Maybe going to a friend’s party when I get back to Cardiff depending on time/effort.
Tomorrow – need to get up fairly early and make more mince pies and cakes. Am helping out on a tea & cake stand at a Christmas fete thing to raise money for charidee in the afternoon. Not sure on the evening yet, might go watch some local bands but then i think i’ll probably just end up staying in actually.
Sunday – no day plans. I really should do some Christmas shopping but town will be a nightmare and i just can’t face it. Going to see Vivian Girls in the night. Exciting stuff.
And getting ready to fly back on Tuesday, with maybe some Christmas shopping (I might be going to French IKEA tomorrow, how exciting!) and I need to find a birthday present for my friend out here, and a Christmas present for her and her family...
Tomorrow - get last bit of christmas shopping/try and sort out secret santa with friends.
Sunday - THE THERMALSSSSSSSSSSSSS! If I can get to London ok and it doesn't snow or freeze up the trains or something equally apocalyptic.
Tomorrow: Playing rugby (and being rubbish cos I'm so hungover)
Sunday: Monkey: Journey To The West at the o2 for FREE
then heading into town to do some Christmas shopping, following it up with a relaxing weekend that includes my football team’s Christmas dinner.
Unfortunately I will likely be in the office until about 8.00pm, then will have to get an early night as I’ll be coming into the office and working full days on Saturday and Sunday. It’s going to be like this everyday until Christmas now. Great.
tonight - doing a christmas function
tomorrow - Wedding Present at Moshulu
Sunday - trying to get rid of the flu
Work lunch, then probably some pub action, then Something serious,
Saturday: Morning exercise & run, Shower, Gilmore Girls, lunch, sift through recordings of my band's rehearsals,
Sunday: telly, then rehearsal.
tonight: play football
tomorrow: xmas shopping, go watch oxford city
sunday: go to watch us get thumped at stamford bridge, go to the thermals.
definitely having a party tomorrow
maybe seeing Streetlight Manifesto on sunday
going home to the parents. I plan on importing my Dad's Phil Spector's christmas album onto the computer. Yeah.
Work Christmas do. Should be alright. Most people here are quite cool, and getting drunk for free can never be a bad thing
Wake up round my friend Hayley's tomorrow, head back home in time for the Arsenal match. Watch that in the pub, quite possibly still unwashed from tonight. Either spend the afternoon in the pub watching the results come in, or do something productive
Tomorrow night I'm off to see Monkey: Journey to the West. Quite looking forward to that
Tonight: probably drinks somewhere, then Something Serious
Tomorrow: FA Trophy Day! Havant & Waterlooville vs Bury Town. Hopefully back to London in time to pop to a friend's birthday drinks.
Sunday: Norwood cemetery visit (possibly); then THE THERMALS
Monday: morning off. Woohoo.
Sunday: reassembling the wardrobe my friend gave me that I pretty much demolished when I tried to get it out of her house. Nothing that loads of glue and nails won't fix.
to be a student for a few days. Wo0p.
sunday: christmas on mars at the barbican!
or nothing, if i can't stave off this cold/illness.
Christmas on Mars at the Barbican.
Saturday: Parents anniversary lunch back home, catch up with family and that.
Sunday: Maybe 'fake' Christmas lunch with girlfriend and housemate, then the Thermals at King's College.

Saturday night, babysitting two teenage boys, told their mum I'm taking them into Glasgow city centre to get them to drink loads of coffee then mug some xmas drunks
