it's quite exciting. I'll let you know how they turn out in 25-30 minutes.
once this 12 finish cooking i'll put another 12 in. 24 is a small mountain surely.
these didn't really turn out too good. they tasted nice but just looked rubbish. i couldn't get the lids to stick on properly so they were really messy. Did a second batch which looked a bit better but still weren't great. I'm going to have to get up early tomorrow morning now just to make mince pies.
I think the problem with the first batch was that there wasn't quite enough pastry, and with the second batch i don't think i pricked the lids enough. Hopefully batch 3 will be a winner!
