all the time, is it not just places like Supermarkets that do this? and people are so bloody lazy, there is an ATM directly outside my store.
anyway, not much as far as I can see unless you really needed cash for a non-card taking place.
As customers can sometimes be desperate to get cash and so buy some shit to get cashback. Other than that, I dunno.
isn't a cash machine nearby. I'll buy stuff at the Iceland near me just so I can get money out...I'd rather spend money on food or something than be charged by the nearest atm.
b) prevents erosion of customer base to other supplier if they offer it but you dont
c) enables customers to then purchase fags/papers/perfume lotto from their kiosks on the other side of the tills
d) by lessening the amount of cash on the premisis there is a reduced burden of insurance/secure transfer of money by armoured van etc
it is difficult though, it seems to require a lot of discipline to be normal and sensible
Spars cashback rules were very slack.
