You're being chased by a mugger. You've got your phone, an iPod worth £200 and your wallet on you. He wants all three.

Your two options are:

1. Give him your stuff. He'll take them and run off. At least you're alright, and hopefully, one day he'll sort himself out. He's probably had rough digs and deserves your pity and is a sign of the failure of governments etc. Poor thing.

2. Intentionally lead him to your friend's house nearby. Your friend has a rottweiler that is trained to tear people to shreds. It knows you and won't hurt you. But if you lead him into the garden, he'll follow you and the dog will ravage him and bite his face off. He'll take approximately 20 minutes to die, really painfully.
