specifically the Sacred Trinity Church, Salford. Do they have a bar?
they didn't allow alcohol LOL
and they did allow alcohol, and i spilt cider under the pew by accident.
Includes ale. It's all bottled stuff that they set up in the entrance, sold by the vicar's buddy.
what kind of church is it?!
its a really nice venue too. and right near my house.
I might go to the thing that's on tonight. It's also on the bus route from my house which is a major bonus.
To be honest, I've never heard of any, but the line "plus opening set from DBH - stunning solo fingerpicked guitar" caught my eye. And I haven't been out for two weeks due to sickness and only just got my mojo back. Interested?
going for a pint with someone which I'd promised to do about 2 weeks ago. If I cancel them again they'll decapitate me.
they played at the first gig i ever went to. TRUE FACT. sadly i have literally no money so can't afford to go to this. you should though!
I hate going to gigs on my own though.
though you can bring your own booze. Zach Hill last night there was absolutely stupid. I've never stared at a man so hard in all my life.
I saw him the night before in leeds and was telling folks they needed to see him. He's completely furious. I was a bit surprised he didn't keel over once he'd finished his set.
It was incredible. I was pretty disappointed when I saw it was just a solo set, but that disappeared after about 5 minutes. I do not understand how it is possible for someone to play so fast and so hard for so long. And he must have lost about half his body weight in sweat.
I figure between shows he must just sleep constantly to conserve all his energy. Who else was playing?
they were pretty good in a 2006 sort of way. Hot Bone played after who excelled themselves by playing their last song with a troupe of ballet dancers doing incredible interpretive dance. I can't seem to find a way to describe that in words that makes it sound good though.
I caught Zach in Leeds by accident, was annoyed I'd miss him in Manchester as I'd already booked a gig for last night, but then turned out he was supporting Dalek on weds. Win win for me.
