Im thinking of going 2009
it was absolutely amazing last year. we found this incredibly holiday resort about 15mins away.
only downside is that between 11am and 3pm it's like going to a gig atop the sun, i recommend planning your viewing wisely.
treat it more like a holiday and less like a gig.
I know 3 people who went to Coachella this year.
They said it was so bad that they'd rather have gone to a rainy Glastonbury.
Everything's regimented. There are guards everywhere, shouting at you telling you what to do. Tents are pitched like cars in car parks - little boxes painted on the grass, so you don't camp in circles with your mates.
Similar to the rest of non-Glasto English ones in that you can't drink your own beer, bar queues are big and prices extortionate.
Sounds pretty crap.
. I went the warped tour this summer so was looking for somthing new and fun state side. It was in the parking lot of galaxy stadium and it was August, I got tottally fried even wearing a black cap all day.
and have fond memories i dont want to ruin. I think Reading and Leeds are too big for there boots now thou and attract too many football lads and big brother girl types.
is why I chose not to go next year and am just doing a california road trip instead.
If you do anything do SXSW, it's soooo good. Gutted I'm not going next year.
Said exactly this ^^. Kept getting told off for trying to watch a band and have a drink at the same time, and being shuffled from pen to pen where you were allowed to do stuff. Sounds rubbish. Also watch the film and you will never want to go. A load of Napolean Dynamite types shitting themselves to Belle and Sebastian. No thanks.
i should really learn to read :)
