my little brother's get hassle at the school bus stop

lomax [Edit] [Delete] 09:49, 3 December '08

He's only in Year 7 and the kids (some of them his "mates") have been picking on him, winding him up and just generally being nasty. This morning he came back from the bus stop really upset and had to get a lift in. Obviously I've set to him "stand up for yourself" etc, but he's not really like that (pretty quiet and shy). But it's coming to a stage now where he really doesn't wanna get the bus.

What do you think is the best thing to do? I said to him that tonight I'd go around to all the kids houses with him, and get him to talk to them on their own. Don't think they'll act to tough when sat down on their own. If means be, I'll talk to their parents.

What do you think? Is the "bigger brother" thing gonna stop them giving him hassle? Do you think 11 year olds can come to a friendly agreement when away from their peers?

Anyone been in the same situation with little brothers/sisters?

I just wanna get this sorted for him. He really was so upset this morning.

(sorry for the serious nature on a Wednesday morning!!)
