As I am sure you know, Weetabix boxes are bought in multiples of 12 biscuits. In particular, every box contains an even number of biscuits. Further, Weetabix are always eaten in pairs by adults. Only the insane consume more than two at a sitting.
Well, a few weeks ago I desired some Weetabix. Having already progressed through some of the preparation and, more importantly, having already self-imbued a fair degree of anticipation of the repast, I discovered to my horror that I had only enough milk to successfully apply to a single biscuit. With some sadness, I replaced one of the biscuits back into the box and had the other one.
Now I am in perpetual disarray. I am one biscuit removed from where I should be. There is always a single biscuit left in the box. Opening a new box mid-preparation keeps re-occurring. I do not know how to extricate myself from this problem.
