let's say I have some music, and I want it put on vinyl.
How do I do this?
and carve into it with a compass, resting your chin on the end humming whilst you do it.
Failing that, try googling vinyl pressing- I'm sure there's places that'll do small runs.
chin compass carving job.
I might have a go at doing a cover of The Birdy Song
I know big indies use them, but a few of my friends have tried them and all had massive problems (mostly with artwork falling off, colours not being right). I thought it was maybe to do with them not placing a large enough order.
But it turned out they use gz anyway.
You can always ask for artwork proofs.
A good policy, I have found, is to not set the release date until you have finished stock in yr possession.
proofs that were the biggest problem. They kept on being really evasive about what they had received (and in one case completely winged a colour scheme and sent them an invoice despite this person repeatedly sending them the corrected version). But if they're usually ok then I feel somewhat bad for advising the two people that have asked me for advice in this area not to go to them. So not too bad.
