Music Social More…

'geniuses' who are widely considered to have smashed the cultural landscape and built new foundations, but who are actually a bit shit

i give you Paul McCartney and George Lucas

without getting into a 'but lennon wrote the best stuff' type thing, which is boring....i can't help but feel embarressed everytime i hear him discuss his new album.....'it was just off the cuff y'know...like what burroughs used to do with cut up stuff..we had some poetry books lying around...beat stuff...kerouac or ferlenghetti or something...and id get a line like....''sunshine''...and then another line like...''i like''....and then another like....''when its bright''....and then, you put it together and its like ''i like bright sunshine'' so its real improv stuff.

and then lucas.... im baffled as to why he is so revered with willow obviously being his only great work

anyone got one?
