A poor, complacent and lethargic Chelsea go down to the only 3 minutes of actual football played at Stamford Bridge yesterday. Van Persie's first goal was unquestionably offside, there was no "50/50" or "appears to be" about it, but then shit happens and Chelsea never looked worth the 3 points. It wouldn't surprise me if both Scolari and Wenger were to find themselves being told off by the FA, Arsene for his 1st half anger management issues, Scolari for his post-match comments.
Man Utd triumph over Man City by a goal to nil despite Ronaldo's (much deserved IMO) sending off, Everton beat Spurs by the same scoreline at White Hart Lane and Portsmouth recover from throwing away another 2 goal lead to overcome Blackburn 3-2. Tonight sees Liverpool probably take a 3 point lead at the top, with rumours abound that Zola must win to survive at West Ham. Seems a bit sensationalist to me.
No real big Clash-of-Titan 3rd draws, although there will be some interesting ones. I'm quite looking forward to Chelsea vs Southend and Arsenal vs Plymouth Argyle personally.
Can't be arsed with transfer talk, it is all the same bollocks rumours doing the rounds anyway.
How did you get on at the weekend?
PS. Fuck off olegrich.
