I have this wee wooden tabley thing that I wanted to use as a surface for my laptop, but if it's moved the slightest bit it creaks. It's really annoying. It didn't do this when it was on carpet in my old place. Could I just put some kind of material under each foot or something, to stabilize it? Or, you know how you can oil metal things, is there any sort of equivalent for wood? (Probably not, but it's worth an ask.)
