I never quite got what they were after in that Everything But the Girl songwhere they sang "I miss you like the deserts miss the rain".

On the one hand you could argue deserts never have rain so don't miss it but on the other hand you could argue deserts are barren 'cos they do miss the rain. So I never had a clue if she did miss him or didn't.
