Or 'musical genre wear'
End of thread.
'your beloved zonino, lying ruined, broken, in fancy dress'.
Still if we decide to turn up in fancy dress you wouldn't bar us would you?
to come as Sir Allen Stanford
how will anyone know who has the best skinny jeans and flannel check shirt if it's fancy-dress? EH?
Is that dog dead or not? I keep being told conflicting stories.
Not that I resent the poor thing, I'm just quite tired of all this shilly-shallying.
That is to say I'll just turn up and NO ONE WILL KNOW WHO I AM.
I missed out on a lot of DiS
And such sure certain quick answers from disers, you guys certainly know what you dont like
It's just a gig. Cheers.
If it's just a gig why are so many people on DiS going when they don't even know who's playing?
The meet-up factor is a big 'un
I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. I imagine the audience is split in two- people who are there for the music and people who are there too meet other internet nerds.
I ahve to keep reminding myself that I do actually want to go to zonino.
"WHAT'S YOUR USER NAME?"
because the person I'm talking to is invariably going to sound like more of a prat/nerd than me
I probably would've put a little more thought into mine
You either get 'the look' or you get someone who seems pleased to see you, which instantly makes me think "This person is pleased to meet someone they only know of via the internet? Freak."
It was something of a relief when Paul explained Royter wasn't your actual name
without you knowing who i am. i don't know what's creepier, that or having to ask for people's usernames.
Someone went up to Ros at the last one and asked her that, then ran away embarrassed when she laughed and said she wasn't from the internet
Or, I remember him posting about asking a blonde girl what her username was and she laughed in my face'.
I think it was royter.....
Joking of cou8rse, at the risk of being a snob he wasn't a 'regular'
When the missus came along last year people asked her that. The problem is that she couldn't say "I'm not from the internet" without accidentally sounding massively patronising, so I think she ended up insulting quite a few people.
anyone who calls my missus a tart as a 'funny' play on her username will get a fucking pasting.
because insulting women makes me feel like a big shot?
when i first read that
but needless to say your feet wouldn't touch the floor.
I'll need something/one else to attack me. It just wouldn't feel right otherwise.
having read the rest of the thread :(
should come as the psyche of someone else
Klaire and yourself would probably be very popular choices.
I know who im going to be
