Is anyone here on the dole? Do you survive? How do you feel about it?
I dont survive on it though as I'm livin at home at the moment while I'm on it. So I get my rent free and some food everynow and again hehe.
I'm not very happy about it as I would rather be working and doing shit with my life, it gets me down. I guess it's helping me out a bit though so I can't complain to much.
Why do you ask?
I basically can't ever go out or do anything but it's so hard to find a job round here that I have no real alternative. I know it's not forever and is only really dictated by where I live so I don't get too down about it. I do kinda stand out when I sign on every 2 weeks though, I dread those days.
which is alright, they dont ask me to drive all the way to my nearst job centre 30 mins away every week.
There really is a lack of jobs in the area man, it sucks. Esspecialy when your lookin and theres is nothing then the family are goin well just get a job heheh
providing you have some self control.
and I had a credit card.
obviously, the less long you're in debt, the better.
I just think people seem to have this strange kind of fear of credit cards. As long as you have some self control and pay the balance off every month (assuming you use it that much, cos they are a useful thing to have as a backup) then they will help youb in the long run as your credit rating will increase.
Hence the Credit Crump.
my credit cards have a combined allowance of about £4000.
My dad's is something stupid like 500K.
I'd imagine they would start him off at about £500. And really unless someone has a terrible record of defaulting on bills etc it wouldn't be that much of a risk.
not having a job or benefits means your national insurance contributions aren't being paid.
osmething to think about.
last time I checked you can miss 9 years of payments before it causes you any trouble...
