Really, Season 2 is such bollocks.
all the season are unbearable bollocks!
Can't wait for Season 5
But after that it does really pick up again. I think, anyway.
I've just finished the last season of the West Wing again. Now that was a show.
i <3 lost
tallyho and yes
tbh though i loved season 2, the map on the hatch door is one of my favourite moments.
as thats when a lot of people lost interest but thinking about it it had a great premiere with desmond in the hatch. the others were still mysterious. Henry Gale, the death of libby and ana lucia, the episode with the other survivors. How Desmond got to the island. The finale with the hatch blowing up. In fact i dont know how anyone couldnt like that.
was the real low point, with the 8 episode arc where they were in those cages. i think thats when they decided to have a fixed number of episodes left as people were getting restless. I thought they really picked it up towards the end though and finished with the best cliffhanger of all the seasons.
It's basically just an irritatingly written good idea. Just as Alias was. Sort of.
The first few episodes of Series 3 was the real low point. But it's been a great ride since then.
Everyone knows Lost rulez
...season three pn DVD, and then tell me it's rubbish
I watched the first few episodes of season 2 and got quite annoyed with the show. It wasn't suspending my disbelief any more and the characters were pissing me off in the bunker. I'll probably go back to it at some point though because apparently it gets better once you get to the other seasons...
only with precisely bugger all chance of winning a pony trekking holiday in Wales.
because it's shit.
theyre just copying ideas from season 1
Everything about it puts the idea of hanging a mystery in front of the audience before anything else. EVERY character keeps their cards close to their chest and has secrets and if it serves 'mystery' they'll act out of character before they'll reveal anything. The only sure thing about characters is if there's a stupid or naive choice then they'll take it.
It's like a modern day TV Agatha Christie book.
theres so much detail in the mythology of the show thats why it has such a hardcore following. There's moments in season 3 and 4 which are actual 'wow' moments where you notice pieces of the story fitting together. Stuff which you'd asumed they'd just forgotten about. It doesnt patronise the viewer though so some people miss it and continue to harp on about how nothing is solved.
how can you possibly pass comment on the show as a whole?
As others have said, maybe - just maybe - the first half of S3 was a bit weak but since then it's been WTF's and OMG's all the way.
