I need to know the pros and cons
pros: it might be Bruce Willis, which would be cool
Cons - He won't be able to pay the rent and he'll stink the place out as he callously sexes every woman in the nearest 10 postcodes.
Ask them straight out if they plan to pay any rent.
and that they say it in an over-enunciated, Larry Olivier voice.
I knew there'd be a time when even the Preview function wouldn't save me. Thankfully there's nobody else here.
If they go into one of Hamlet's soliloquies then they might be quite solemn and probably tolerable to live with. If however they start singing Grease Is The Word, I would advise caution.
a fuckin' nightmare.
Still owed money, left the room in a shit, always slamming doors and weeping and then screaming and being completely insane.
So no, I advise against.
If they're doing theatre work you'll probably rarely see them, and they'll be earning ok money. I'm living with two dancers who are doing theatre work at the moment, and they'll be away on tour for the next few months. I think they're only home for 2 weekends between now and Christmas.
would they be prepared to 'act' with you?
I don't know where I'm going with this.
Also, it can get a bit annoying when they need to borrow your skull as a prop for hours on end.
If someone described their profession as an "actor" cos they did regular acting work and that's how they made a living it made be fine.
If someone descries their profession as being an actor 'cos that's what they want to do but aren't actively earning money doing it I'd probably advise against it.
