I've finally got to see this film and I'm disappointed.
It looks pretty much spot on, but if I hadn't read Northern Lights I don't think I'd really know what was supposed to be happening with the plot.
The story feels rushed, it explains things quite heavy handedly that should have been left for the story to tell itself while missing out explanations that parts of the plot need to make sense.
