and are you in the industry you want to be in, on track for your desired career?
Yes. I'm a graphic designer.
There are worse things...
I don't dread coming to work in the morning, though the routine nature of my job can get a bit boring. Also 7/10
Not even close.
Not even close.
Yes and no. Same sort of work, different industry is the eventual goal.
I wouldn't say it's my desired career, but then I couldn't tell you what my desired career is. I'm directionally challenged. I enjoy the area I work in, just not what I'm doing at the moment.
but i leave tomorrow, so that's okay
don't really have a desired career. That will happen when I get to 30, have a massive panic and become a teacher.
Not as much as I used to but I still like it.
And yes, this is my career.
My job>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.your job
and im sure thats true, my job - poo :(
n/a - I don't know what my desired career is
And no to the other two questions.
what do you do again?
and furniture and things.
part time: kinda
when I'm doing things correctly.
I have no preferred industry/career. Linear career paths = probably not x thanks
but I'd rather be an umbrella designer.
it's challenging and you need a brain to do it
The industry is fairly secure so I'm glad I'm in it due to the current climate. I don't think I have a desire career anymore.
I'm basing this solely on your board posts, having never met you.
and . . . thanks?
Desire career - sounds vaguely saucey.
in your area.
for an aerospace co.
My 18 year old self would never has envisaged me working full time in an office but here I am. I work with really nice people, the job keeps me busy and can be good fun sometimes, and the pay is pretty nice. It's definitely not the industry I initially wanted to be in, but I'm starting to like working with booze.
I guess so, at least I'm contributing to something good
I don't know what my desired career is. I kind of fell into this and it's working out alright at the mo
You're in the charity sector, aren't you?
for a children's charity
for a charity lottery in Scotland :)
Most of the time
Today I've been in the pub for an hour and a half and have written an email that will go out to loads of people. Not bad.
Yes, sort of
Yes, sort of
industry? yep, politics is alright
but then, this is a temp job and I finish it next Friday. With a bit of luck I might be able to give you 3 yesses in a year's time.
how long is an acceptable time in the same temp job?
it stresses me out as i have to deal with lots of idiot/people who cannot follow instructions and lots of departments, but it's also interesting, and i get to go on courses and such like. but i should get paid more darnit
yeah and I guess.
I originally wanted to be a journalist, but as it is I'm a media analyst. So instead of writing words in newspapers for a living I read them instead.
and it's reet good.
