i wish it was lower
Less than Jeremy Paxman, more than Fern Brittan.
in others (including love) 1
10 being cynical and 0 being naive? Or like, 5 being cynical and 10 being INCREDIBLY cynical?
Fuck it, I'm going to say 7 anyway
i have to be more cynical than you.....in fact the only person who might be more cynical on this site might be cadd (in some areas)
and 0 incredibly naive
Certain situations 8, others 2..varies greatly whilst holding a steady disdain for idiotic blanket emo misanthropy that people nurture within themselves in the place of self esteem or any kind of human worth.
Everyone look at Mr. I'm-Too-Well-Rounded-To-Categorise-Myself-With-A-Number.
Get a job, or a haircut. Or something.
Now leave me alone to misinterpret Camus to my cat
I'm going to get a job getting haircuts
but I can't make it.
if theres a thread i'll post in it
"if theres a subject, i'll start a thread on it"
There are two types of cynicism: that born of insight and that born of ignorance. I like to think that I have a healthy level of the former and absolutely none of the latter.
Cynicism born of insight is useful if it keeps you honest, gets you motivated or makes you more idealistic – if it squeezes out all of your natural hope and faith in humanity then you’ve allowed it to go too far.
Cynicism born of ignorance is when you refuse to engage with a subject to protect your own limited, self-absorbed perception. For example, vox-pops in which the man on the street says something like, “All politicians are the same, it doesn’t matter who I vote for.” It’s used as an excuse to justify a passivity by people that don’t want to take responsibility for their own thoughts.
That’s just my off-the-cuff response, like, so my argument may be riddled with flaws.
by saying "I love Aussie girls, they never have any cynicism." I told him he'd better stop talking to me.
I'll go with a 7 too. I manage to have a lot of optimism at the same time however.
seen/experienced enough shit in this world to know that there is usually an ulterior motive.
but it's probably higher.
i like stuff
i think it should drop after i move out of surrey to maybe a 7 or even lower
cynical enough to never talk to new people
