... how often would you say you pay attention to the advertising on there... ie, on London Buses or the Tube...???
My answer is, often when on the tube, you basically sometimes look for anything to read, not so much on the bus, as you can look more freely round/through the interior, or out the windows
it all... meh.
I have to work these days, my dear... no more days of slacko day shift.
than asking the internets a non-specific question??
Kind of. Mostly.
and I also read the adverts on the wall of the escalators
A I have a massive campaign going out on the tube and commuter rail next week!
Nearly didn't happen as I was on my own and the creative decided to start doing whatever they felt like. In the end I actually had to go "This is the photo, this is the copy, the copy will go here. You have until 10am tomorrow or else"
Who is doing your outdoor design, btw - are they doing it as part of the deal? I need to speak to people and find out about that ie outdoor creative which is quite different, innit...
They are normally for Menopace or something, though, so they don't cater for me. :D
my attention span = 0
I resent it all
there is a current ad/art thing that says:
"8:20 NYLON UNIFORM" or something, and its the whole way up the oxford circus escalator. it actually made me get a proper job.
find it really intrusive, especially the stupid video adverts they have nowadays. I normally have a book tho so can block it out. I'm sure I saw something about banning advertising on the tube? Now THAT would make everyone's journey much more pleasant.
Its easier on the buses to avoid eye contact by looking out of the windows/ floor, but on the tube adverts are the main solace and preventer of human interaction.
the adverts that will be scrutinised most (and therefore you can actually put a lot of info into them), cos some crave the opportunity to get absorbed in something that doesnt involve accidentally catching the eye of the people sitting opposite you
SO if you have a lot of info to get across, or an advert that is good, but you are worried that it wont register in a split secong.....put these above Theos head on the tube trains
(also I tend to notice the ones on the sides where there are long esculators ....going up rather than down....I seem to walk down, requiring more concentration.....going up often one of your party will just stand, so you have time to kill your eye is drawn to the adverts arriving and departing
but would it be stable? or would you want it to dance around like deely boppers? it would have to be a simple message if it were deely boppers.
who would chose Theo for their marketing?
Radiohead? Specsavers? Apple? Guardian?
ClicheGuavara would be more limited (Telegraph? Contraceptives? :) sorry)
Oh right I see, bus/tube etc, now I get it
