Songs you love, but wouldn't without their associations
You know, the songs you still listen to, or secretly want to listen to, because they remind you of something, were linked to something awesome, or you loved them as a kid..... but if you listened to them now without them having any meaning to you, you'd turn off more or less instantly.
Aside from Every Anime OP Ever,
--- Janie, Don't Take Your Love to Town by Jon Bon Jovi

From the age of 8 to 13, I'd come home from school every day and put this on repeat super-loud until my mother got back from work. And whenever we had a car journey for longer than twenty minutes, we'd (my mother, sister & I) put the Destination Anywhere tape, and sing along to all of it at a stupid volume. Those were awesome times. I still play it. Lots.
--- This is Your Life by Switchfoot

Used at the end of Season 2 of The 4400, which I love(d) lots. The sequence the song is used in is awesome, and powerful, and whenever I listen to the song, I just see the ending, and can forget the fact that's it's kinda awful. I can't find the actual clip anywhere, so you can have something someone somewhere assembled (badly) from the same show.
--- I'm in the Lord's Army by some religious person

The only reason I tolerated going to Sunday school / bible study etc was to sing this, I still do sometimes. It's such a fun song. You know, goes like:
I may never MARCH in the infantry
RIDE in the cavalry
SHOOT the artillery
I may never ZOOM o'er the enemy
For I'm in the Lord's Army
I'm in the Lord's Army (YES SIR!)
I'm in the Lord's Army (YES SIR!)
And you do all the actions for each bit. Actually, there's probably a youtube video somewhere. I'll find one. There we go. Our actions were WAY better than those kids though.

No this shouldn't be in the music forum.
You go.
