Moving to London in one month.
do you know Lektrogirl? She's from Hobart
from her 1999 'I love my computer' LP on Rephlex
what happened to her?
I've met her a few times on micromusic nights and online...then *poof*
there's always hope
It's not what you would call an exciting place.
all the shops (near the Sofitel) seemed to sell only strings of lights.
ireland. shit-hole. not even a proper venue for gigs in place. the main venue is about as big as a living room
i'm thinking about moving
better gigs anyway
nice,small city,alright clubs(if you're into that kind of thing)
adebisi shank and sheild your eyes are playing tomorrow
you will grow to love and cherish cyprus avenue, mercury rev played there last week
you know the website 'the peoples republic of cork'?
check that out!
There are no gig venues, there are hoards of chavs and underage parents, its probably one of the worst places to live in the UK, highes unemployment levels and highest teenage pregnancy rate in europe are some of our awards in recent years!
but well done on living in the town that I've probably been most drunk in in my entire life
I've had winter vomiting sickness twice but on each occasion I threw up maybe one third of what I threw up that night in Great Yarmouth
but I'm not dutch, I'm english and I never fly flags, I burn them :-)
I think there are
May i ask where you went drinking, some places are now notorious, in one pub a murder has happened and on several occasions whilst ive been in it a small riot. It never even made the local newspaper. Yarmouth is full of drunks, you are not alone in that.
it was a long American kind of bar - actually maybe it was called 'the American Long Bar' or something like that
with my kecks around my ankles, leaning against the bowl with puke dribbling down my top
security forced the door in and threw me out on the pavement
Dingy pubs in Yarmouth are the best in an ironic way, but im not really a bar/club person.
you see on your post where it says 'reply' - that's where I click in order to write this message and thus reply to yours
it'll make your life on DiS easier if you reply in the right place
My bad im lazy like that
any other americans in the house? anyone else really excited about barack obama??? i'm actually a little proud to be an american for a change.....
and yeah, i agree: we are living in very exciting times!
i can honestly say, that im enjoying living here more than i ever have after tuesdays events....
Los Angeles, CA.
i'm not sure if i want to wave the flag though...
apparently new jersey is known as "america's armpit" (americans will know what i'm talking about)
have never been to Michigan.
i've never been to michigan. although i felt watching roger & me was enough.
been here since may of last year after moving over from London
if that counts?
how did you end up there?
I thought you were in Norway...
