Anyone seen it yet?
I saw it last night, it was alright. I haven't seen Casino Royale but I liked this one a lot better than all of the recent Bond stuff.
The baddie was really good and played like a true sociopath and wasn't really in it enough for my liking. It also suffered a bit from trying to be a bit too cerebral. It's James Bond, we don't need a (really badly handled) big exposition at the start of the final third, or fight scenes intercut so fast with 'relevant' other scenes that you can't really work out what's happening at all. Also there was a cringeworthy attempt at irony at the end...
Other than that, it was good fun. There were some great fight/chase scenes and it was refreshingly dark and 'realistic' (ie. no invisible cars).
I'd give it 7/10.
Have you seen it yet? What did you think? Do you think the James Bond franchise is on its way out given the resurgence in new, better spy films?
