i dont understand why anyone would do this.
Is it too obvious to suggest that it is in the hope of shifting some of the CD's that they have for sale?
a) I might get some money out of it
b) I have too many cds, not just cds, I just have too much stuff generally and I don't want STUFF anymore
c) I might get some money out of it
ebay and amazon take so long to list, and cost.
but i gave a bunch of mine to a garage sale or something several years ago because it was a lot of stuff i was quite embarrassed about having in my collection, but i still regret it. i am a massive materialist though and owning a lot of stuff makes me very happy.
i like having loads of CD's
even if i've never listened to them
seeing all my cds sat there actually makes me angry
it's like my music story.
I should though. Pragmatically. But I won't. Unless I really really need to.
it shouldn't be the case, but I listen to music (and albums sepcifically) more attentively with a CD - I select one and play it through, I have the case/booklet to constantly refer back to while I'm doing other things.
I've found I'm paying much more attention to my music now I use CDs and a stereo than when I used my PC in student hood.
i did it because i have no fucking money. thinking of selling my release the bats tickets actually. anyone want? brooner?
also that reminds me, i was going to buy some of your cds off you, have these gone?
no i still have them i think. was it all the why? i still had? also you want the release the bats tickets maybe?
They offer no benefit over high-quality digital formats. Ripped all of mine and sold them. Got money and space. Great.
because I needed the space and the pocket money was a nice bonus. I regularly trim my cd/record collection.
trim, that is.
i've had a constant of around 250 cds for the last 7 years, though i probably dont have one cd on my shelf that i had 7 years ago. im constantly buying cds, and selling old ones i don't listen to anymore. my record and tape collection get bigger and bigger though
unless you're a lazypants
People actually want your stuff on here as well, it's great! People usually pay more on ebay but it's much quicker to do it this way. Also change is good. It's good to have a bit of a rotation thing going
most of the time when I bought one i'd take it out of the box add it to the pile, leaf through the inlay then throw that on the floor, hence mine being in a pretty bad state, I may just through them away
sell the lot and buy lots of nice vinyl!
Is that I'm moving down to London to do an internship, and as much as I love my CD collection, I need more cash and will not have enough space for them.
I am however, looking at it with the view that when this internship has paid dividends many years from now, I'll have something to scour the 3 remaining record shops on this planet for...
