so says sky sports news. that's cool, i think
The man is my hero in life (after Ric Flair) so I wholeheartedly back anything he does.
So there's no football thread today? A
nyone off to a game this evening? I'm going to crewe tonight to watch posh. We should win. Hopefully.
even my boss, an Arsenal fan, says that he seems a bit too forthright and not really intelligent enough to be a good manager. He's always struck me as more of a coach than a manager.
I hope they do alright though, as much as I'm glad Harry's with us now, I wouldn't like to see Portsmouth do shite because of it.
but can't stand him as a recovering alcoholic 'intellectual'. I was really hoping to see less of him not more.
In fact, as a child I was once in his house. I later found out that this was at the height of his alcoholism, and it goes some way to explain the mess his lounge was in at the time. And my first ever game at Highbury was capped off with a Tony Adams left foot half volley to complete a rout of Everton, and to clinch the title for the first time in years
Despite all of this, I can't help but think that this is the start of Portsmouth's demise. Redknapp was the main attraction for many of their recent impressive signings, and for me the only way they could've really kicked on, or even maintained their current level, would've been by getting an impressive manager on board. Tony Adams has done fuck all as a manager, except a shit job at Wycombe
I wish him luck, and I'm glad he's been given a chance, but I'd be pretty worried if I was a Portsmouth fan
I think this is a situation where it would work best in a Director of Football/Head Coach scenario. If they give Joe Jordan a senior role about the place and have Tony Adams focussing on being in charge of coaching the players and managing hte team I reckon it could actually work.
I'm quite positive about it all.
