We're paying our license fee for this shit?!
"‘Shoot The Summer’ is a film about festivals shot entirely on mobile phones. Throughout the summer we filmed at 7 festivals and gave out phones to audience members and bands with one simple instruction...'film whatever you want'. This is their summer."
I'm so incensed by the idea of the Beeb giving out cameras to a bunch of tossers at festivals I'm not even going to watch it. Can someone else do it and confirm my worst suspisions?

PS Here's hoping it's as bad as that feature they put in their Reading covergae a while back, of some 18 year old who's parents had decided she was old enough to go, and who ended up crying at 4am on her first night because the boys in the tent next door were being too loud :(
You don't think it's just another attempt to have some cool 'Yoof' product,
in the similar way they did with "Hi, I'm Amy, and I'm an indie!"?
does anyone still have the link to that?
i regret not watching it first time round
It did result in an amzing thread.
Which I can't find :(
Found this bit on Youtube though:

Methinks the lady doth protest too much...
AMY.
"I'm not protesting that... I'm not a girl". Double negatives abound!
I'm confused.
Cool.
(I didn't really think you were Indie Amy, or a boy for that matter).
I have to go watch the second half of The Restaurant now.
See ya
you are SO indie
also, it clearly isn't georgiabeth
see:

pffft
REAL indie people dont have friends!
Hah!
I don't really pay attention to football, or sports in general, but my Dad supports Spurs. It's funny hearing him sigh so often.
demographorama
No, this is quite acceptable.
At least compared to 'Coming of Age', which is by far the worst thing I've ever seen with my eyes (and I've seen a dead body).
Written by a 19-year-old, who won a competition to write a sitcom for BBC3, it's quite astonishing. A couple of years ago my friends and I caught the pilot purely by chance, and we were actually motivated to write to the BBC and complain about it. At one point Tracey Beaker played a flute with her anus.
They've only gone and commissioned it for a full series, too. Watched the first episode and it's still incredible. I cannot understand how anybody could commission it.
Seriously, look:

It's actually quite hypnotic, in a depressing way.
I've seen the trailers.
That's enough for me...
georgiabeth, are you Indie Amy?
pigfoot implied it somewhere up there, but I think he's probably joking.
