Like a womble.
It can be quite embarrasing though. Someone across the aisle gets off, leaving their paper on the seat, and you have to sit there, thinking "as soon as I stand up to go and get it, everyone watching is going to think 'What a scrubber'".
I usually still do it though.
I think bin-rummaging might be taking it a bit far though.
but seeing as i have not been on a bus in a year, this sentence is in the wrong tense

where a guy left, leaving behind his Loaded magazine. I was like "Awesome - wouldn't usually buy Loaded, but I'll certainly have a read if it's going spare", picked it up, sat down with it, when five minutes later the guy comes back (turns out he was in the shitter) to find me reading his magazine. He looked at me like a nutter and I just handed it back mumbling some sort of apology.
I still insist that he should have taken it to the bog with him.
