What is it like? Mainly, does it get very hot or does it always stay fairly mild?
Just tell me if it's comfortable or not.
and then theres 2 weeks of vaguely warm weather between festivals and usually when I'm on my holidays.
sometimes we have lovely hot summers, but we've had mild (ok cold), wet summers for the last 3 years.
Believe it or not there are regional differences.
doucheface, i'm not a simpleton
The North: Some sunshine, quite mild.
Wales: Some sunshine, quite mild, but prone to rainy outbursts.
That bit in the middle: Same as the North really.
East Anglia: Nobody cares
The South-East/London: Can be nice and sunny, rain sometimes, but mostly pretty mild. Generally better than anywhere else with the exception of the South-West.
The South-West: The sunniest bit, but still prone to rain and stuff on occasion.
Does London bake like an oven in the summer?
It can get really hot...it's the buildings and the millions of people and the pollution all combining. It can be scorching hot.
Does it get like that quite often?
I still think that New York is on a different level in terms of extremes of temperature.
But when it gets really hot, I can't stand it. It's unbearable. But then I've never really been to a 'hot' country so I've nothing to compare it against.
In short, it's not an easy question to answer and depends on about nineteen things.
If you've ever been in the Med or anywhere closer than Britain to the equator in summer time, then comparatively, it's mild - top end of the twenties (celcius) would be enough to get fat pale wankers topless in parks.
And it rains. Often. I don't remember this from my childhood, but for the past few years it definitely has.
