depends on voltage, but yeah, it's quite likely to smoke and sizzle
Have I got my answer all confused?
I'm pretty sure you can blow either up with its opposite
So if something is expecting phat-ass 240V Alternating Current it can probably handle a weak little burst of 12V DC or whatever.
What exactly are chu doing?
dat wants da 9V 1.3A AC/AC
I tried a 9V DC 0.3A adapter and although the lights all came on, it didn't seem like enough juice to actually make the unit function....but it didn't blow up or anything
but apparently 1A adapters will work
I have a 9V 1A DC adapter that I could try - but I don't want to fuckzz it upzz
makes em sound dope as they struggle to keep up fyi
phat dope 4 lyfe
you won't destroy your pedal as the supply will be rectified to DC anyway. However it won't supply the voltage the pedal needs.
More of a problem for you is plugging HUUUGELY underpowered transformers in to something that requires more current. The transformer will try to supply the necessary current, fail miserably and melt itself into a frazzled mess. Don't do it.
if you have, say, only two batteries to go into something that needs four batteries, you can just use tin foil/the metallic bit from a pack of cigarettes to make the connection.
it was well weak, mind
