Anyone? I was one for ages, a leader too. Fun times. Getting stoned in a tent and hillwalking is a pretty cool mixture.
which was fun for non-stop cricket and weekend trips into the peaks, but lame for prayer time and parades through town.
Boy Brigade are more ingrained into the church.
when i applied for scouts leader i put on the form for religion - NA (Atheist) and was told to change it to christian as they require you to belive in a overal deity. I was perplexed, but it means fuck all to me, so yeah.
we used to play pool and table tennis, and go camping in wales over the summer. the parade through town (i did this once) was the worst day of my life.
and go camping. It was fun.
My Dad still owes me for getting me to join, I couldn't stand it.
We used to go skiing and kinds of good stuff. Plus everyone was just normal. All the other scout groups in the area were total losers though, so I can see why they get their reputation.
it was fun. but once i hit about 12 or 13 i got embarrassed and quit!
you shoulda stayed. i heard that a rogue camp took place and girl guides were sharing tents with boy scouts... hahaha
Join the cubs, see the world
Pay your subs, meet the girls
Sell your toys, be reborn
They love a boy in uniform
Captured some control points, then I kept getting killed so I switched to Pyro....oh, you mean in real life and not TF2?
Yep, I hated it so I quit. I'd been in cubs before that which I enjoyed, but scouts was rubbish.
I was in cubs which was ace but then I did the weird handover ceremony thing where you graduate cubs and join scouts, and never went again. The scouts were scary!
I was in the Navy Cadets for a while though. That was even shitter.
then i relised i was no homosexual and quit
"all a bit Hitler Youth" and hence I didn't join.
How are you, Mark? Long time no speak (told you i'd be largely board-absent!)
you! I am good. I was a venture for a while too, and in that short time I drove the underground, made beer and lost at darts. great times. how's school?
but my mum couldn't be arsed to take me :(
Team Fortress 2.
it was ace, went camping in Belgium for a week and saw soldiers on patrol in the woods. Which is dead cool when you're 7.
Then when I moved to Aberdeen the cubs/scouts group was really boring (plus I got endless fucking shit of loads of people for being English), so I quit.
