It has to be suitable and superfun for a five year old girl.
I'd probably have upped my chances of getting some replies.
she'll love it. I also used to listen to it on tape on holiday.
so if she likes it that's Christmas sewn up too.
I'm volunteering on primary school literacy scheme and just thought it might interest the little girl I'll be helping in reading more if she can read different stuff to the rest of her class. Kids love that kind of thing.
Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll check them out.
LOOK AT HOW NICE AND SOCIALLY CONSCIENTIOUS I AM

I'll make a joke about it being Royter-Hatfood's birthday instead.

The Very Hungry Catapilla

'jewjovnitsa' in polish apparently
My dad read the hobbit to my sisters and I when I was 7 (so Sian was 4 and katy was 10), and we all loved it. My dad is a good reader though.
so I'll definitely be using that!
I recommend The Story Of The Little Mole Who... http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/product/1856021017

Also one of the best books in the world ever is Who Will Comfort Toffle?:
You should take my advice because I occasionaly work in a children's book shop.
Kids love a bit of nonsense
Dr Seuss's best and easily my favourite book ever
