If, like me, if you have the misfortune of following the IT press from day to day, you've probably noticed that Twitter seems to be flavour of the month again. How come? I've not noticed anything that would warrant a sudden surge in interest, and yet this week a lot of people seem to be writing about it

I've never used it, but it seems pointless. Am I wrong?
