and some police forces
and transport for london
taxes and bills and tickets to increase?
We already know this. I can't wait to see everyone blame Boris.
Boris was elected on a platform of - amongst other things - cutting waste thoughout London. Most transport schemes he's been involved with thus far have introduced unnecessary costs into TFL or other areas of London or cut income, loading it onto ticket prices.
Remember that of his claimed black hole in TFL funds that caused his increased fares, almost all of it comes from HIS scrapping of the £25 congestion charge. He forgot to mention when he was campaigning on the back of it that he didn't have any funding plans for that.
If they need to get the £17m back through increased ticketing, then fair enough, so long as he doesn't try and wrongly blame it on the previous administration like last time - I'm half expecting Ken to be criticised for personally putting the money in there himself.
when considering the increases he has already announced. I was alluding more to ticket prices perhaps having to go up in the future because of a series of events no London Mayor could possibly forsee, control or insulate London from.
he could just scrap the "new" Routemaster plans... more than £17m of savings there ;)
I do agree though, so long as he doesn't try and make political capital from it himself.
I mean, let's all go live in a fucking bubble and pretend it isn't happenign because it's a 'rich person's problem'.
there IS no council tax fund any more because Iceland LOST IT - if you live in Kent or Cornwall anyway - sorry Marco).
Oh I am sorry but am going to say it... Fuck all of you ignorant idiots on this board who think that this isn't going to effect you. Honestly, go to hell cause it's gonna be better than being around here at times. *
*Am blaming my aneasthetic - I should go get some tea and chill out I think....
because of this aneasthetic.. I am such a light weight with drugs. Any drug. OH GOD..
Everyone here knows and is nodding in support or laughing at me.
isn't the idea that they put it in accounts and earn interest so that they can provide you with better services?
but you'd hope they have some kind of insurance plan that doesn't leave the individual tax-payer (who, at times of personal financial difficulty, shouldn't really be blamed for failing to see the 'bigger picture') royally screwed.
in Hertsmere's arse end then!
I'll bet that those in charge just banked it all and live off the interest.
and you know it
play dumb all you like
although not quite as good as crazy Greek music teacher pretending she was a gnome for 15 minutes in one lesson.
isnt that the way that capitalism is meant to work? cause and effect?
its when the effects are not directed back to the causation that things dont sort themselves out.
Why would taxpayers want the dosh they are forced to pay want it to be gambled at a higher risk overseas where it would be difficult to get their dosh back from?
salary its more difficult cos its planned and agreed, but bonus's were given out mistakenly...overpayments.
Banks dont allow customers to keep overpayments or mistaken over crediting on accounts, so why directors or traders wjho are already very comfortable and will not suffer greatly to pay it back?
Why arnt they made to show willing?
with this post. I'm not convinced it'd be possible but I think the principle is correct
perhaps the (desceptively not as naive as it might at first look to you) most practical method might be to agree the pricipal and then ask the recipiants who got bonus's when they weren't warrented, to voluntarily return them. (like i say slyerthanitlookscentric)
that when it actually IS very relevant and important to distinguish, i forget)
