Maybe they really do want to deposit some cash in there and we've missed out because we're all cynical, racist fucks!
Out of my way son, I've got some stereotyping I need to be getting on with.
I had a phone call from a Nigerian today who wanted to do a bit of business. Obviously he sounded perfectly legit, either because he's an old hand at getting what he wants or because he genuinely needs what i'm selling. It was all going great until i said to him that he would need to pay up front before an order could even begin to be processed and asked him how he planned on doing this. The minute he said "As soon as you give me your Companys bank details i will transfer the cash" i nearly burst out laughing.
My company really don't want to touch the guy but he could be perfectly legitimate. How can this be worked around?
how do you normally process advance payments?
If they were in the UK- My office would either do a check on the company and invoice them if they were legit. They would ask for a cheque or they would get them to do a bank transfer.
So, why when you throw a Nigerian into the equation doesit become such a problem? What could they conceivably do with the bank details of a largeish company?
*self face palms* yeah that does sound quite unfair, unfortunately due to the actions of a few I wouldn't be surprised if it happens more often.
financial visionaries all of them.
I'm setting up a cash ISA with the First National Commerce Bank of Lagos right now and suggest you do the same.
*Ok Professor Brigadier-General Johnson Muwuboto BA (Hons), I've done what you've asked, now would you please stop pointing that revolver at my head?*
and invest it in Newcastle United.
