...the BBC site is awfully slow...any groups underway yet?
Spurs v Hamburg in the QF anyone?
Dunno about anyone else, but I won't be putting any money on that happening
keep the odds higher for me.
We're clearly gonna win all 3 cup competitions and get relegated. Randy doesn't do the league.
and City have a tough start as well.
cup tied isn't he?
maybe the knockout stages...
AC Milan vs Heerenveen should be interesting too, given how they destroyed Ajax at the weekend
I never thought I'd see the day
POMPEY VS AC MILAN!
best day of my life.
but it would be incredible to see pompey there.
but it would be equally amazing to watch ac milan at fratton park.
we play two at home and two away.
Although not as much balls as the champs league 3rd place teams coming in
i've just realised how strong a competition it is this year...shucks.
but why the fuck the top 3 qualify I don't know. Should really just be the top 2
Dunno what to make of Villa's group. It'll be quality to play Ajax though. Top 3 go through though, I think we have a fair chance, depends if we get Slavia home or away though I think.
so much luck involved in this stupid table format, with only one home or away match against each team
so I'd fancy Villa, especially if they got a home draw
GROUP A: Schalke 04, Paris SG, MANCHESTER CITY, Racing Santander, FC Twente
GROUP B: Benfica, Olympiacos, Galatasaray, Hertha Berlin, Metalist Kharkiv
GROUP C: Sevilla, VfB Stuttgart, Sampdoria, Partizan Belgrade, Standard Liege
GROUP D: TOTTENHAM, Spartak Moscow, Udinese, Dinamo Zagreb, NEC Nijmegen
GROUP E: AC Milan, Heerenveen, SC Braga, PORTSMOUTH, VfL Wolfsburg
GROUP F: Hamburg, Ajax, Slavia Prague, ASTON VILLA, MSK Zilina
GROUP G: Valencia, Club Brugge, Rosenborg, FC Copenhagen, Saint-Etienne
GROUP H: CSKA Moscow, Deportivo La Coruna, Feyenoord, Nancy, Lech Poznan
but they have lots or european experience. Villa don't so much. I'd love to go to the AjaxarenA.
I wanted depor though really
There's not a chance of SPurs making it through that group.
just please god not that bloody telly again, I'd rather have the truck, or the pitchside coffee table...
So it's not that unreasonable for Spurs to go through
Dinamo Zagreb, Udinese and Spartak Moscow giving Spurs a beating. Let's face it if Hull can...
NEC are the weakest team there but still are no chumps.
was Borussia Dortmund back in 1997, it has been a while. Mind you, though the likes of Steaua Bucharest and Red Star Belgrade winning was good in terms of being underdogs, those were two of the worst European Cup finals ever (the 1991 one between Red Star Belgrade and Marseille will be hard to top)
so messed up that
AC Milan and Valencia are generally regarded as the favourites right now.
Here's hoping pompey get a drubbing!
Called Portsea Island. A fair amount of what is known as Portsmouth is off-island though.
but I've only been told Villa's
Ajax at home first match, then Slavia away, followed by Žilina at home and Hamburg away.
The Ajax game is massive. If we can get a draw from one of the away games and win the two home ones, should be OK.
