Let's talk about the weather and mosquitos.

MirriLondon [Edit] [Delete] 02:22, 4 October '08

Weather: it's become hella cold in the space of a week, bitterly so, and I'm pretty "hard" when it comes to cold because I don't much like heat! Waiting for a bus at 2am for half an hour last night was bloody unpleasant even with a decent amount of clothes and fur-lined gloves on. So it's a sign of a nasty winter, right?

Now, mosquitos thrive in hot climates. I've been out tonight and I swear there were a dozen of the things in a room at the back of the bar nowhere near the outside world.

I've had three bites this week; one on my forehead, one on the bridge of my nose and one on my bum/leg. And now I have one on my chin.

What kind of mosquito bites your face? My forehead has NO juice flesh to sink a spike into.

Also, shouldn't the fuckers be very very dead in this weather?

I predict a new superbreed of mosquito is beginning to develop and within a few years we'll all die of malaria because we've screwed our immune systems through years of antibiotics. It may be a bit like The Fly in terms of grossness. And I blame the credit crunch.
