? Cos if this is just a blatant lie then i need to know. I quite fancy going back a few years.
by definition time travel can't be "invented" as it would occur at all times throughout history at the same moment. so no, not in this universe, time travel makes no sense.
like in 2017, or 2023.
with no voice and made of gas. Maybe you are all round you now?
as it would take a spread of technology but also of knowledge. It would take FOREVER.
You would need another universe existing under similar physical laws for time travel to occur, and then you would be trans-universally moving. If this universe has a different concept of time, or doesnt exist parallelly to our universe, then this could be construed as time travel. Even so, it is highly improbable that the course of this other universe would have run in exaclty the same manner as our own, so circumstances, situations, events, evoloutionary lineages and shit would probably be different, so the very concept of "time travel" and its appeal of either "knowing the future" or "changing it" would be obsolete
time travel has to occur between times along a continuum, no?
Time only has one arrow, its defined by the laws of thermodynamics - everything bascially goes to a high entropic state ( i think) which is bascially a state of increasing disorder and randomness (everything being the universe). You can reverse an entropic arrow sometimes (you use energy to make a fridge cold - the naturally tendency is for things to become warmer from coldness as it is more random), but to reverse the arrow of time would probably take all the enrgy in the world. And then some.

It's true, there's engineering works between 1749 and 2011 all this weekend on the Continuum Line. So you'll have to make alternative arrangements.
Is my monthly (time)travelcard valid on buses?
