What is the limit?
But I'd make sure you're charging them, don't let them take it for free.
but if someone's taking it for themselves then shirley its no Oh, adandon repl...
as you have done a lot of DIY recently - what are you like on sinks/plumbing.
I cleaned my plug today - one of those metal ones that you raise and lower with a plunger. I tightened the screw too much and the plug went down too far and cannot be raised again. Having formed a water-tight seal I can't get it out with a skewer. I tried sticking duck(t?) tape to it but that failed. Will a plunger work? A super-magnet? What will work? Help me! Will a man of limited ability be able to open the back of the sink and get stuck in? I'm floundering! HELP ME.
Maybe not relevant to the thread...
You may be fine with a plunger and it will be the cheapest option.
I've never had experience of this but you could try heating it gently which would expand the metal (is it definately metal?!). This should cause the metal to expand and maybe pop out. You my knacker any coating on the metal though and melt the rubber seal if there is one.
I doubt a super-magnet will work as I've never seen such a thing.
Also, I think you can buy separate new plugs for them quite readily.
I'll give the plunger a go, it's definitely metal so the heating could work... shame about the super-magnet.
I was so angry after doing it this morning that my girlfriend was too scared to have a go at me but I know it's coming.
try a google on the problem, something random might turn as I doubt you're the first person to have had this problem.
Will give it another go later.
You may get the plug out but you'll never get the magnet off the plug!
the answer is superglue.
Ensure the plug is dry.
get something else that you can get a good grip on....superglue this to the middle of the plug then pull, use warm soapy water and some sort of levering tool to then gently and gradually prise the plug away.
If there is water in the sink then drain it out (siphon) or bail it with a bup and then soak up with towel
You are my hero.
I had suggested supergluing my finger to the plug but that had been vetoed.
I get like eddie izzard when i get drunk.
and talk about jam and bees?
its the mannerisms and speech patterns apparently, also the way I walk ???
also I have no flag
while effeminately smoking a cigarette/
I get it fairly often from the main guy I work with (normally if anyone else is about), generally pertaining to my engineering skills, or any other professional competences. I think it annoys the other guy I work with more n me, unless it's been a bit nonstop for an hour or so, or him trying to be funny gets in the way of someone making a good point or idea or wotnot.
He's fairly contrary as well (there have been instances of him criticising the way I'm doing something, and telling me to do it an alternate way, I'll change, then the next day he'll criticise THAT new way, and tell me I should be doing it another way....the way I had been doing it the previous day), I think most of it is just him trying to throw his weight around, show he's the boss kind of thing.
I've confronted him about it before, and he just gets grumpy and sullen, so I just leave it now.
Unless I'm in a grump anyway, and those days become a bit rubbish
