an ipod / mp3 player?
I guess I would like one but I just can't be arsed.
I did, but it got nicked. I can't afford another one.
that is just rotting away in my desk drawer. Want it?
but to be honest I don't know when I would use it?!
I only ever listen to CDs in my car or at home. Just wondered if anyone else did the same.
Thinking about it - this is prob the shittest thread I've ever written. Sorry peeps.
Why do you have a spare one? How big is 4GB?
(4GB, not 8GB) and never charged me for it or asked for it back.
4GB isn't very big - probably about 1,000 songs.
as my old sony mp3 player bit the dust
if Bamboy doesn't want it - you can have it! :)
See you at Scarce?
(even if you don't get a ticket, that's the next time I'm in London)
That's what my flatmate does. Or is considering doing, anyway. He doesn't do much music apart from dub poetry.
He's so spiritual.
the creative stone 2 gig job, £25 or so, with screen and radio. And a mic. Shit headphones though, need to buy a pair for a tenner or so.
I know what folks mean about the whole street sounds stuff, but sometimes it's so nice to have some music, when buses are late, or just when you feel like some music tbh. And, although I tend to read, it can be nice to drown out the same old crap from the tubes in the daily travelling.
but I never use it.
lost mine, stupidly. now i want one but cant afford one.
It makes me listen to albums properly.
but a CD player doesn't fit in a pocket.
Also, I still listen to albums properly. Some albums HAVE to be listened to as albums.
Shuffling is brilliant though! It's like someone DJing from your record collection! :)
Also, are you SURE it's a CD player and not an address book?
not really needed one since.
"got nicked" pile.
I'm going insane.
so yeah. Hurmph
I use my phone and the giant pair of headphones I blackmailed Vodafone into giving me free. It's not perfect, but for an hour each day it's just fine. Plus, less to carry.
i don't. i really want one but don't have nearly enough cash at the moment :(
It's my alarm clock - playes me Dillinger Escape Plan to get me out of bed
I play it through my car speakers on my way to work.
I play it through a pod dock on my desk when I'm at work
I play it through my IWB speakers while I'm teaching and the kids are getting on with work
I play it through my car speakers on the way back home
I use it with earphones in the evening if I go cycling / running / to the gym.
It is only ever off when I sleep really.
and I doubt that I would have got it were it not for the fact that I moved to London and now have to commute on the tube. I used to walk into work in Newcastle and liked the sound and the rhythm of everything around me, and didn’t like the feeling of claustrophobia that I get with headphones.
I usually listen to music, but I’ve found that being able to carry around my Japanese lessons is really useful, even if it is a little off-putting to other commuters.
