Okay, I've not done any gaming for quite a while, not since HL2 and COD came out really. This was because my old PC crashed on games a lot so it was hard to complete them and now I don't have too much time.
But recently I realised I really would like a good 'exploration' game where getting through the game isn't really massively about combat even, something that Half-Life was also good for, but I quite fancy a sword & sorcery type of thing. I don't mind combat if it's more tactical, I just don't want to be too bogged down in that stuff because I've never been very good at fast reactions and stuff.
Current machine is:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 95W G0 Stepping (Retail 775)
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Socket 775 Motherboard
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA2 32MB ST3500320AS 7200RPM (with a fair amount of space left)
Vista Business 64bit
Patriot 4GB PC2-6400 C4 Viper Extreme Performance RAM (I know, it's not the best)
nVidia GeForce 8800GS 384MB PCI-E Graphics
So clearly, it can't be the latest generation or it'll need to drop down.
Incidentally I run a 20.1" monitor with 1680x1050 resolution as the native.
Come on, there must be someone on this board who still uses their PC for games other than football management and Sim-XXXX stuff? :D
