Newcastle are going to beat us tonight I'm sure of it.
I genuinely am not sure which result I want to happen more. I just want one of the sides to get trounced.
I have no basis for this.
more goals = more cactus jack.
by that cactus boy from the Oasis drink advert posters, and thrusting harder with every goal.
is in fact quite an old man and his lady a very young girl.
I find it a little disturbing.
its that we're particularly proficient at failing to win.
The Newcastle crowd to run riot, destroying their own stadium in the process.
I should really pay attention in future.
i'll be there either way
or 5-5 or 9-0 or 0-9.
they should have a three way match with Liverpool for the 'Most deluded fans' category.
But, seriously, all jokes aside, you will break the to...ha ha ha ha ha ha no I can't finish that sentence.
Liverpool and Spurs have some arguement. We've had our successes, and up unitl this season we'd been developing well. Then the big 4 wade in and take our strikeforce and we've failed to prepare for that inexcusably.
football is deluded then yep we are!
Titus Bramble will come on and score own goals for both sides before growing a pair of luminous wings and ascending to Valhalla.
I'll take it
so you'll lose by 2, is that what you're saying?
losing is the new 'win one week spectacularly then fail to turn up with a defense the next week then beat or hold a top of the table side before losing to someone from League One'
Where do you think you'll finish this season? Obviously the team needs time to gel but it seems as long as you managers (first Jol and now Ramos) are intent on making wholesale changes all the time, you won't have the consistancy to finish high up the league.
Personally I like your signings that you made during pre-season and that of Pavalyuchenko (sp?) although it's hard to see you coping too well without Keane and Berbatov.
I think you could finish anywhere, absolutely anywhere between about 5th and 17th. After your poor start however 5th is looking unlikely.
the complete, soul destroying randomness of it all. Lasagne for fuck sack.
Anyway, the problem is changing managers every five minutes so we have to make big squad changes to suit their style of play. Now if we keep Ramos for a while and let him build the side with the players he wants (and, largely I agree with the players he has CHOSEN to ship out, if we were intending on kicking on, most of them would've been irregulars at best) we'll be fine. It'd just be nice to hit the ground running one season though.
Arshavin in January I hear them cry.
I'm sure he'd go missing at times in the Premiership.
Yeah, you need to keep Ramos for a while, he's obviously a quality manager who will play the attractive football that the Spurs fans ask for. His Sevilla side played some excellent stuff and were very successful, I hope he's given time.
Your team on paper is still excellent, even without the KB combo (I made that up) although I'm a little unsure about Gomes, he was the one signing I thought could be a bit dodgy.
With Man City and Villa improving all the time, UEFA Cup football might be a struggle to obtain in coming years and this would obviously have an adverse affect on being able to keep top players happy.
a lazy forward this season :(
Gomes has already made some amazing saves and one error. Probably slightly better ratio of awesome:idiot than Robbo though.
looks great with all his flamboiant saves and then comes the mistake. Like you said though, he's an improvement so far.
you can see Upton Park from that hotel.
but it has depressed me that we actually have a load of shit players, loads more than i thought :(
is pretty decent.
as I love to point out, you recently said Modric would walk into any side in the world and last night you put Jenas in your worst premier league xi. So I wouldn't have thought there'd be much competition between the two in your opinion. So I would have expected you to just say Modric and not Jenas.
Can anyone promise me it won't be really shit?
and eat nuts whilst I wait for my profile to register on that dating site.
several 'key' newcastle players to pick up injuries which rule them out for 4-8weeks each.
Villa 1-2 QPR
Brighton 0-4 Man City
Ipswich 1-1 Wigan (Wigan win 4-1 on pens)
Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham
Portsmouth 0-3 Chelsea
Blackburn 0-2 Everton
