in fact I think an employer is OBLIGED to assist you in finding a new job if they make you redundant. Like letting you use company resources and stuff.
they can tell you exactly what they'd look at and bin immediately for starters!
Although it depends what you're applying for, because what's a good cv for one type of work, isn't always for another.
and then when you apply for jobs, you can change it slightly to highlight the more relevant stuff.
or that's what they told me at the careers office anyway.
