If so, can you tell me what the fuck it is about? I was genuinely worried for my mental health after watching that.
dreams and friendship and loneliness and escapsim and stuff?
i don't remember it being that much of a mind fuck, just a little odd.
Basically old guy can't dream so he kidnaps children. But kidnapped kids generally don't have very nice dreams, so old guy gets more miserable. Cue ron pearlman and the little girl who go to rescue her little brother.
It was certainly a mind fuck for my mind, possibly even mind rape.
its really a simple story with reasonably simple themes dressed up in some seriously surreal visuals. I guess this might have something to do with the fact i've seen in like 6 times, maybe it just becomes clearer the more you see it.
So yeah watch it again
It just got clouded in the surrealism for me. I'll give it another whirl at some point.
did you enjoy it? If you did try Delicatessen. It's all kinds of bitchin'
is actually one of my favourite films believe it or not.
It's so bizarre, all about escapism and retenion of hildhood and things. It's ok, but really fucking bizarre, more a good example of how Jeunet and Caro progressed to the type of thing they do now.
