Do we need democrazy? [Sic]

orsonwellesrabbit [Edit] [Delete] 13:23, 19 September '08

Individual freedom? Civil liberties? One man one vote...they are but byproducts of chaos, in my opinion. Chaos is what consumes this century because democracy has failed in one specific way: It has allowed too much freedom to be placed in the hands of the ignorant, the uneducated and the easily swayed. We do not need a two, three, four or fifty party system. We need a unified vision, a single, lone leader willing to shoulder the burden of decision, willing to make choices which, while unpopular, benefit the whole even if the occasional part is left behind or trodden on. The individual means nothing if he contributes little to the system. I no longer believe in democracy, and I no longer believe in the rights of the individual. I believe that the system should cave to no man, no dissent. Only through that can we achieve true freedom: The freedom to follow or the freedom to be cast aside.
