than drinking the milk which was not naturally designed for us to drink?
but i'd say no, not really, as humans have always used all that they can from animals and it has not, to my knowledge, ever been normal for us to keep drinking 'human milk' throughout life. so 'normal' does not apply here, you could try with 'natural' though.
I still find the idea of drinking another animal's milk really, really strange.
are you a vegan who does not use any animal products? do you not eat meat and wear woolen products?
but so do all carnivorous and omnivorous animals. How many other creatures drink the milk of unrelated species? Cheetahs don't kill gazelles and then drink from their teet, do they? It just strikes me as a little odd, as the sole purpose of cow's milk is to feed calves.
when we use so many other products from animals, i don't see why drinking cow's milk is that much weirder. cause it's not like we only eat the meat and leave the rest of the animal, you know?
which is practical use of dead animals.
There is absolutely no need for an animal to drink the milk of another animal. It only exists to nourish calves, who the hell thought 'oh, that'll be good for adult humans as well'.
I like cheese though.
are humans naturally omnivorous type argument, what I mean is it happens a lot in nature - animals eat animals. It's called the food chain. Animal meat is, partially, there to feed other animals. Milk isn't there to feed other species.
Wearing animal skins is just a by-product of hunting and eating which was the most constructive way of primitive man keeping warm.
Anyway, I'm not in any way getting into a moral argument, I just mean: humans make their own milk to feed humans. Where the hell did cows milk come into it? It's not meant for that.
seeing as everyone is in some degree intolerant to other animals' milk. That's why you should never feed baby animals with cows milk, fact fans. Especially birds, i'm always astounded when people say they fed baby birds on milk, why would birds be tolerant to ANY milk?
about breast milk and breast feeding. We do far less of it (especially for babies older than a couple of months) than most other countries. The UNHC reccomends breast feeding for up to 2 years (obviously in addition to solid food) but those few mothers who do breast feed for a while are labelled as 'militant lactivists'.
I think this is mostly due to our utter sexualistion of breasts. If you see breasts as a primarily sexual thing then their are uncomfortable overtones of letting your children anywhere near them! But y'know Breast is Best and all.
So, yeah, go Breast milk.
