My new landlord has just told the agents that they want me to pay 6 months rent in advance before i move in. They say this is becasue i am finishing my masters course but don't have a job lined up yet, so they want a guarantee that i will be able to pay rent.

I already sent them a copy of my savings account statement (which i don't think i should have to do anyway), and now they want six months upfront.

This is bang out of order, right?
