I am a genuine grown up.
don't talk to them, nobody actually likes jazz funk
my rooms horrid. I havn't been able to open the window yet and it's dingy as fuck. I'm gonna get some major lampage going eventually though. Glass shades n shit. yeah.
i've spent the weekend getting REALLY drunk, so i have done nothing about starting uni yet.
I'M A STUDENT
I'M AN OFFICE WORKER
Have you met the people you're living with yet? Are they coolios?
i don't even know how many are here yet. i don't know what's happening with food yet. I've got dried and tinned provisions in a cardboard box and I ferret back and forth from the kitchen like i'm hibernating or something.
i went to a party in a skate park last night to say goodbye to all my friends who are leaving.
i want to go with them :(
she's only 16/17.
well college is fun too
my college can be summed up by this
still got another year to goes
theres a beach party on... and even though there is a beach within driving distance, they're faking one in the union. Woohoo...
seriously though, do go to it. itll be a good chance to meet people, especially the ones who look like they are thinking 'this is the worst thing i have ever seen'
theyre the cool ones
i just moved into my proper house, and im sorting my stuff out now.. its great, although less exciting than last year.
(and probably something to do with the degree, dunno)
is end of February/beginning of March.
thing lasted less time than I expected.
It sounded good, but then they started discussing megaphones and crazy tshirt designs.
and meeting the people in your halls and stuff?
I literally must spend every moment socialising, lest I become a social pariah
my friend is there
judging by your internet personality, you two are practically the same person.
my cousin started uni there today aswell
I quit after three months. Why why why.
i was there for 5 years!
you're not a grown up until you've banged some posh poon, stolen a road sign and whitied all over the dean's armoir
shower gel: £2
"King of shaves" razor: £3.99
sitting in your dingy room, wondering where your flatmates are and hoping that it'll get better once teaching starts: priceless
fist my mouth
My first day at uni and there were only me and one other guy in my flat, who turned up a lot later than me. Luckily he was awesome and wearing a Yo La Tengo t-shirt so we became good friends quickly, but it wasn't until the day before lectures started that everyone else arrived.
I'm guessing, if you're in a flat, you're in some kind of self-catering halls? I suggest spending some time walking around meeting people as they arrive, help them carry stuff, that sort of thing. With self-contained flats it's a damn bugger to meet people as all the doors have locks, so you need to get it done asap.
I probably should. It's same sex flats as well. Insular as fuck.
After a couple of weeks people start to settle into groups, especially in those kinds of halls, and it gets to the point you only meet new people when the fire alarm goes off.
And it will go off. Many, many times.
was that drunk guy with the wet hair!
Why can't he have a shower in the morning? Why do the showers make the fire alarms go off?
Yeah, that wasn't fun.
If you have an en-suite room, don't shower with the door open.
I spent the night with a pretty rough girl living in halls during my second year (I had a lot to drink). I was planning a swift getaway in the morning but as I opened the door THE FIRE ALARM WENT OFF. Oh the shame :(
have classes started yet?
has scotland been brought into the EU-style semester system?
freshers week just now, classes start on monday.
